Welcome to Windyridge!

After a lifetime in the city, we followed my husband’s dream to live on a farm we call Windyridge. Our move to the Kansas prairie has taught me the joys and sorrows of life on a farm. So much has happened to us, I just had to share some farm stories! What better way to tell farm stories than with a cozy mystery?

I hope you will come for a visit through Book One of the Jillian MacSweeny Mystery Series called The View from Windyridge. (Coming March, 2026) Then join me again for Book Two of my cozy mystery series, called Hidden Among the Antiques. (Coming May, 2026)

You’ll meet Jillian and her family, as well as some colorful local characters. Hear stories of our beloved domestic animals; Anna the Australian shepherd mix, Reggie, the Australian cattle dog mix, (both dogs adopted from the local Humane Society) Sassy the calico cat, Curley the Herford bull, and the comet-sister hens. And, if you love stories about wildlife, there are bald eagles, prairie wolves (coyotes), deer, raccoons, hawks, turtles and more.

Book One in the Jillain MacSweeny Mystery Series

Book two of the cozy mystery series has Jillian preparing for the Grand Opening of her newly acquired antique store in the nearby town of Riverview. When the town’s mayor is kidnapped and an archaeological relic is stolen, Jillian’s daughter unknowingly stumbles into the despicable crime. Jillian uncovers the clues, and it’s Mom to the rescue!
